Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore has the Michigan Wolverines on commitment watch following his eyeball emoji post on X Monday night.

When Moore makes that post, along with the #GoBlue, it tends to mean a commitment is on the way, likely because Moore and the Michigan Wolverines just secured one.

It seems as though that happened on Monday night. Lamar Morgan posted about the "best getting better" which is what he usually posts when a commitment happens. That makes me believe it's a defensive back, but I truly have no idea.

Michigan football tight ends coach Steve Casula made the trip out of Montana to see four-star tight end Matt Ludwig, who I have been saying reminds me of Colston Loveland. The Michigan Wolverines are the favorite according to the crystal ball projections, as well as On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Should Michigan Wolverines be worried about a flip?

Either way, we should hear soon. However, Michigan football could be on the verge of losing a commitment, as four-star cornerback Brody Jennings was at Auburn, who made a move in his recruitment after hosting him for an official visit last weekend.

Michigan will host Jennings for an official visit in June, but so will Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, so the Wolverines will have to fight tooth and nail to hold on to his commitment.

Michigan football to go in-home with 5-star running back

Michigan has already visited one running back this week, after the recruiting restrictions were lifted, but on Tuesday, according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine, Tony Alford, the Michigan running backs coach, will visit Savion Hiter, the top target on the board for the 2026 class.

The Michigan Wolverines will get official visits along with Tennessee and Ohio State. Hiter out of Mineral, Virginia, is ranked 17th overall in the 2026 class according to 247 Sports composite rankings. He is also the top-ranked running back.

Michigan Wolverines open Big Ten tournament

After a 33-21 regular season and a 16-14 record in the Big Ten, Michigan will open the Big Ten baseball tournament Tuesday in Omaha against Illinois.

The seventh-seeded Michigan Wolverines are in the same pool as Illinois and UCLA. The only way to guarantee advancing to the semifinals is to win both games.

The first pitch will go out at 10 AM CST on the Big Ten Network. The Wolverines were listed among the next four teams out in the NCAA tournament projections by On3, so making the NCAA tournament as an at-large doesn't seem likely, at least not without winning the first two games.

So either way, Michigan's season is on the line Tuesday. Kurt Barr has been the top arm for Michigan this season. We'll see if he gets the ball on Tuesday. The offense has been led by Mitch Voit, who is batting .347 with 13 home runs. Cole Caruso is second on the team with 11 home runs. Jeter Ybarra has also been on fire lately, and is hitting .343 in his last 10 games.

Regardless of what happens Tuesday, Michigan will play UCLA on Thursday at 10 AM CST. If all three teams in the pool are tied at 1-1, the top-seeded team (UCLA) would advance.
