When Sherrone Moore starts posting on social media, Michigan football fans know to get excited, because it usually means a commitment.
So if you sense a certain excitement among Michigan football fans on Monday night, that's why. The Wolverines have been a little stagnant on the recruiting trail as of late.
In terms of coaches being on the road, they haven't even been able to do that, serving some time off the road to square an old punishment for the "Burger Gate" scandal.
Since the restrictions ended on May 19th, the Wolverines have been busy. They have already been out to visit a running back and will also see five-star running back Savion Hiter soon, too.
Steve Casula, the tight ends coach, made the trip out of Montana to see four-star tight end Matt Ludwig, who just ran an electronically timed 11.12 in the 100-meter dash at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds.
Who has Michigan football landed as a commitment?
The Wolverines have been trending in the right direction with Ludwig, a dynamic athlete from Billings West in Montana. Ludwig is ranked No. 220 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. All of the crystal ball projections are pointing to Michigan football.
The On3 recruiting prediction machine also favors the Wolverines. Either way, Sherrone Moore teased a Michigan football commitment on Monday and it has me wondering if Ludwig might be it.
There are other candidates though. Lamar Morgan, the secondary coach, tweeted about the "best getting better" on Sunday night. That's something he tends to do after a commitment, so it could be a defensive back.
Either way, it feels like Michigan football is about to start heating up on the recruiting trail, finally.
