This is according to a post on X from Hayes Fawcett of On3.com. The cover image was posted on Instagram. It features Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State, Ryan Williams of Alabama, and some head coaches like Kirby Smart and James Franklin, along with others, even some mascots.
Underwood was also there in the background. He's not featured anywhere near the future, but you can see his No. 19 donning the Maize and Blue.
Of course, rivals fans were pissed about it. In some ways, it's probably understandable. Underwood hasn't played a snap in college football. He's not even guaranteed to be the starter next season.
However, with the comparisons to Cam Newton and Vince Young, plus everything players and coaches have said about Underwood, not to mention his film. The dude was the top-ranked quarterback for a reason.
Bryce Underwood isn't afraid the spotlight
We'll see if Underwood lives up to the hype. If he doesn't win the starting job or isn't effective, opposing fans will be ready to pounce. Ohio State fans are certainly starting to dislike Underwood already, especially after he told LeBron James, "It's over for Ohio State," when he met him at a recent Lakers game.
Underwood doesn't lack confidence, and I love that. But if he's going to talk the talk, he'll have to walk the walk. I can't wait to see him try and my hunch is that he takes over as the starter sooner rather than later.
Much sooner, like maybe game one. Bryce Underwood is a bona-fide superstar, and it's going to be difficult to keep him off the field.
