It might seem hard to believe but Bryce Underwood is now a Michigan football quarterback. He signed with the Wolverines on Early Signing Day and has joined the team for bowl practices.
Underwood is able to practice with the Michigan football team as an early enrollee and as you might expect, it didn't take long for the No. 1 QB in the 2025 class to turn some heads.
Davis Warren, who is expected to start the Reliaquest Bowl on Dec. 31 against Alabama, had this to say about Underwood via Trent Knoop of Sports Illustrated.
"You’re not the No. 1 recruit in the country for no reason. He’s a super-talented kid, and he cares about the details. He wants to get better. He wants to do things the right way, and wants to do things the Michigan way."
EDGE TJ Guy was asked by Angelique Chengelis about Bryce Underwood in practice. He said that the freshman is every bit of 6-foot-5 and that the ball comes out of his hand well.
Asked TJ Guy his initial reaction to Bryce Underwood at practice: “He’s all of 6-5. That’s one thing I noticed right away. He’s tall, he’s a big kid. Saw him throw a little bit and it looks good coming out of his hand”.

Bryce Underwood is the future for Michigan football
Underwood is expected to be the future at quarterback for Michigan football. The Wolverines are trying to land a bridge quarterback in the transfer portal and former Toldeo standout DeQuan Finn seems like the best bet.
Yet, you wonder if Underwood might be ready to start next season. He's got unique talent and ability. Dylan Raiola did it for Nebraska. Why not Bryce? It sounds like he looks the part so far at least.
