UNC isn't the only team trying to steal Juke Harris away from Dusty May and Michigan

UNC isn't the only team Michigan has to worry about in terms of Juke Harris.

Michigan basketball might be getting drawn into a bidding war, at least if it wants to add former Wake Forest guard Juke Harris from the transfer portal.

Harris, a 6-foot-7 standout from Wake Forest, who earned Second-Team All-ACC honors last season after averaging 21.4 points per game, has been considering Michigan. He just visited Ann Arbor this weekend. He was the Most Improved Player of the Year in the ACC, too, for good reason.

Michigan was favored to land Harris ahead of his visit. The Wolverines were even projected to land the dynamic guard via Jamie Shaw of Rivals, a college basketball recruiting expert.

However, things have taken a turn. Harris met with North Carolina on Sunday, and the Tar Heels aren't the only team that Michigan needs to worry about.

SEC contender is also in the mix for Juke Harris

According to Volquest, the Tennessee site for Rivals reported that Tennessee, the team Michigan defeated in the Elite Eight, also got an in-home visit with Harris.

There are rumors of a big-money deal on the table from North Carolina, which just hired Mike Malone away from the Nuggets. You know money isn't an obstacle there. Tennessee isn't shy about spending money either. Michigan also doesn't lack for NIL resources.

But the Wolverines should avoid getting into a bidding war. If Harris is only concerned about the paycheck, Michigan can find someone else. The Wolverines surely have a healthy offer on the table. Harris also said during his visit that he wanted to be part of a "winning program."

Tennessee and North Carolina each made the NCAA Tournament. They have both had plenty of success, but no one is winning more in college basketball than Dusty May right now.

So we'll see what happens, but Michigan basketball may need to explore other options if Harris decides to side with UNC or Tennessee.
