Sherrone Moore teases another commitment for Michigan's 2026 class

The Michigan head coach teased a commitment on Monday night and is doing the same thing on Wednesday.

As I wrote the other day, when Sherrone Moore tweets, it's usually good news for Michigan football fans.

Moore posted on X Monday with his patented #GoBlue and eyeball emojis. Fans have learned that when Moore does that, it means a commitment is imminent.

On Tuesday, not 12 hours after Moore's post on social media, four-star tight end Matt Ludwig committed to the Michigan Wolverines in the 2026 recruiting class.

Moore posted something similar on Wednesday night, which means another Michigan football commitment is right around the corner.

Guessing who the next Michigan football commitment is

Michigan fans were probably hoping that it's five-star running back Savion Hiter, who just had running backs coach Tony Alford in to see him for an in-home visit.

The Wolverines are one of the top contenders there, but it seems like this could be another example of tight ends coach and new co-offensive coordinator Steve Casula closing out a commitment.

Casula visited Montana on Monday, right after the restrictions for coaches being on the road were lifted and that seemed to sway Ludwig.

Casula also paid a visit to three-star tight end recruit Mason Bonner out of Colorado also this week. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound tight end is expeced to take an official visit next month, but Ludwig was too and the Wolveriners were still able to lock down his commitment earlier than expected.

Bonner has 20 offers including a bunch from Big Ten and SEC programs. Nebraska was one of the top contenders but after an expert projection from Michigan expert EJ Holland it seems like Bonner might be the 2026 recruit Moore is talking about.
