Michigan football is set to host only two prospects on official visits the weekend of June 12th, and yet, it is an absolutely massive weekend.

Those two prospects are four-star EDGE Ifeanyi
Emedobi, and five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson. The Wolverines appear to lead for Emedobi and could look to close with him this weekend. Michigan is also looking to put itself in first place in Dobson's recruitment.

This weekend is Emedobi's final scheduled official visit, after he cancelled his trip to Indiana. The Indiana native is a very intriguing prospect, as he's a raw EDGE prospect but has incredible potential from an athletic standpoint.

In late April, Emedobi clocked a 4.48 40-yard dash time, a 37.2-inch vertical, an 81-inch wingspan, and 11.5-inch hands. The wingspan and hands are notable because at 6-foot-1.5 Emedobi is shorter than a typical EDGE rusher. Those measurements, however, are above average according to NFL combine data. The 40-yard dash time is blazing, even considering that he weighs significantly less than the average EDGE rusher at 210 pounds. With the proper training, it's easy to see Emedobi earning a big role on the field down the line.

And then there's Dobson. The potential crown jewel of the 2027 recruiting class. There was lots of worry that Dobson might commit to Texas A&M, the current leader in his recruitment, this past weekend on his official visit. That didn't happen, and the door is now open for Michigan. Dobson is scheduled to visit South Carolina the weekend of June 19th, and then plans on making a commitment afterwards.

This is one to keep an extremely close eye on. Kyle Whittingham has been extremely aggressive with Dobson, and I'd expect that to continue. I don't think money is going to be an issue for Michigan here. The No.6 recruit in the nation per Rivals will receive a very generous offer from the Wolverines.

If Michigan football can absolutely knock this one out of the park, I don't think it would be crazy to see the Wolverines land his commitment this weekend, or at least jump to first place in his recruitment.

Michigan has done an incredible job with recruits on their official visits, and I expect that to continue this weekend. The Wolverines have a chance to add two more commitments. and I expect them to go all out to earn them. This should be a fun weekend.
