Michigan football hosted top-100 linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng this past weekend and now the Wolverines are among the top two according to Steve Wiltfong.

Michigan football had some elite recruits on campus for "Victors Weekend" and the official visit weekend proved to be a rousing success for the Wolverines.

Even though we are just a few days removed from the weekend, the Wolverines have already landed three prospects who were on campus and should add more in the coming days and weeks.

There were a couple of negative trends on Monday, especially with four-star DL target Maxwell Roy, who had been projected to Michigan football. The predictions have now changed to Ohio State, just like top-100 RB Jordon Davison is now trending to Oregon.

But you can't win them all and if the Wolverines could land top-100 linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng over Notre Dame, it would make the final visit weekend in June an even bigger hit.

Owusu-Boateng definitely seemed to enjoy his offiical visit. He was very active on social media and posted a bunch of photos of himself in Michigan football gear.

Michigan football among the top two

Steve Wiltfong of On3.com joined The Wolverine.com Youtube Channel on Tuesday to discuss the fallout from the visit weekend for Michigan football and on the four-star linebacker ranked 75th overall out of IMG Academy in the 2025 class, here's what Wiltfong had to say:

“I think (Michigan) is in the Top 2. They are giving him a lot to think about. Obviously, his brother starred at Notre Dame. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah won the Butkus Award. He’s been around that program a lot. Marcus Freeman and company have done a good job recruiting him. He took his official visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC, with Michigan getting the last one. He said this visit outshined his other three visits. He talked about Michigan’s program focusing on the small details, and that’s why they are the reigning national champs. From the head coach to the assistants, you can feel the genuineness there. He said everybody cares about the development of the player and the man there. It fits his personality.”

The kid is a Notre Dame legacy, but Michigan football just landed a Michigan State legacy, so you never know.
