The Michigan football program has momentum on the recruiting trail. That can't be denied.

The Wolverines landed a blue-chip in-state prospect last week, and have been projected to land three other commitments, including a top-100 wideout Quentin Burrell, in what would be a head-to-head recruiting win over Notre Dame.

It has been impressive the way the Wolverines overcame the coaching change to grab the lead with Burrell. Michigan is trying to do exactly ther same thing with elite in-state wideout Dakota Guerrant.

Guerrant is out of Harper Woods, Michigan. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver is ranked 35th overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. The Wolverines are battling Oregon for his commitment. Recently, Michigan sent almost its entire offensive staff for an in-person visit.

According to The Wolverine, Michigan football is "putting on an all-out blitz" to keep the top-ranked player in the state of Michigan away from Oregon. The Ducks have been trending as the favorite. However, the Wolverines are working to close that gap.

As of now, Guerrant is scheduled to take just two official visits: One to Michigan and one to Oregon, so the Wolverines have made up ground. The questions is, have they made up enough?

The Wolverines are also trending up in the recruitment of three-star wideout Tre Britton III. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder is ranked No. 578 overall and 10th in the state of Michigan.

According to Ethan McDowell, the Wolverines are in the top two heading into official visits. Britton has scheduled official visits to Michigan, Miami, and Missouri.

Missouri is currently favored by the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the Tigers a 77 percent chance to steal away the in-state recruit from the Wolverines.
