Michigan football just keeps building more and more momentum in the recruiting trail.

After two major four-star commitments in the past few weeks, the Wolverines are trending to land another priority target in the 2027 recruiting class, wide receiver Quentin Burrell.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wide receiver out of Chicago has been a top target throughout the 2027 class. Michigan took a backseat for a short time after Kyle Whittingham was hired, but the full-court press has been on, and it's working.

The dynamic wideout visited Michigan during the spring game. On Tuesday, he started trending to the Wolverines with expert projections. Steve Wiltfong of Rivals projected that Michigan will land Burrell, along with Notre Dame reporter Mike Singer, and some other recruiting experts.

Predictions aren't a commitment. However, the Wolverines have a 92 percent chance to land Burrell now, according to the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Burrell comes out of Notre Dame's backyard in Chicago. The Fighting Irish felt like the favorite for the No. 86 overall prospect in the 2027 class, but Michigan has now assumed that role.

Despite a recent decommitment, the Wolverines are on fire on the trail. They were projected to land three commitments last week. Jakari Lipsey, who is ranked No. 105 overall, as well as third in the state of Michigan, was the first of that group to commit. That came just a few weeks after the Wolverines were able to flip four-star QB Kamden Lopati away from Illinois.

If you include four-star offensive tackle Sidney Rouleau, Michigan has landed three blue-chip prospects since March 29. The Wolverines have six commitments total. They are ranked 36th via the 247 Sports team rankings, and have three players ranked in the top 122 overall committed.

Burrell would be No. 4. It would also be another sign that Kyle Whittingham can recruit at an elite level as the Michigan football head coach.
