Michigan football has a huge month upcoming on the recruiting trail as official visit season is upon us. The Wolverines have some blue-chip targets on campus this weekend, a contingent that also includes four-star SEC commitment Brady Marchese.

This is according to a report from Ethan McDowell of The Wolverine. Marchese is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds out of Cartersville, Georgia. He's ranked No. 349 overall in the 2026 class according to the On3 Industry rankings and has been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since March.

Michigan football trying to flip a Georgia commitment

Marchese saw his recruitment take off in January with a bunch of offers, Michigan football included. He committed to Georgia but hasn't visited any program more than once via On3.

However, Marchese will take an official visit to Michigan this weekend. That makes the Wolverines attempt to flip his commitment a lot more serious.

Visits usually tell the story of a recruitment. There haven't been many in this one, and this will be the first official visit of any kind, according to the wide receiver's On3 profile. The offer sheet for Marchese is extensive and includes Florida State, North Carolina, Penn State, Ole Miss, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, and a slew of others.

Michigan has been pushing to flip LSU commitment Havon Finney Jr. They have also been making some inroads at wide receiver, such as with four-star Christian Ward, who will visit this weekend, and has repeatedly said that the Wolverines are at the top of his recruitment.

One visit probably won't be enough to flip Marchese. Yet, getting him on campus for an official visit is a big first step. It also shows that the Wolverines are a serious threat to flip his commitment before signing day.
