The Michigan football program has been doing work on the recruiting trail and one man who deserves some credit is wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy.

Some people have been critical of Bellamy on the trail, but this past weekend, he was able to get top-100 wideout Andrew Marsh back on campus for an official visit. There haven't been any crystal ball projections for Marsh...yet, but Steve Wiltfong of On3.com projected him to Michigan football on Sunday which is significant.

Marsh would be the best commitment Michigan football has gotten from a wide receiver since the days of Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins. It's been that long since the Wolverines have landed a top-50 wideout or someone close.

But that's not the only wide receiver the Wolverines are trending for. Phillip Wright is another. The explosive three-star wideout is dynamic and Michigan has been trending as the leader since his official visit back on the weekend of June 14th.

Another positive trend for Michigan football

Yet, another visitor this past weekend, who went under the radar, was four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington. He's out of Louisiana just like Bellamy, and the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder ranked 320th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, has been projected to the Wolverines via a crystal ball from Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider, and also an expert projection from EJ Holland of The Wolverine.

Michigan also has an 82-percent chance to land Washington's commitment according to the On3 prediciton machine. Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Missouri also got official visits from the 4-star wide receiver and are in the mix, but it feels like this is another Louisiana player coming to Michigan, just like Jasper Parker.
