The Michigan Wolverines clinched a bowl berth on Saturday and now, Michigan football has turned its attention to Ohio State.

Michigan football has won three games in a row in the rivalry. However, Jim Harbaugh was the head coach. Sherrone Moore was the acting head coach last season, but was able to lean on Harbaugh during the week.

That being said, Moore won "The Game" last season and at least has that experience as a head coach. It won't be anything new. Michigan football is starting to find its stride. At least on defense. The Wolverines have allowed just 536 yards in their last 10 quarters. Northwestern only mustered six points and 127 yards total.

Still, Michigan football will be a heavy underdog this week. In fact, the Michigan Wolverines have opened as a 20.5-point underdog according to Vegas Oddsmakers for "The Game."

I can't argue with that line, but if I was a gambling man, i'd take that bet. The smart money is on the Wolverines covering. I'm not saying they will win, but the defense will make it tough on the Buckeyes and if Michigan can run the ball, things could get interesting.

Michigan football projected for another flip

The momentum is strong right now for Michigan football recruiting and the Wolverines are now trending to pull off another flip, this time of four-star wideout Derek Meadows who is currently committed to LSU just like Bryce Underwood was.

Notre Dame has also been in the mix to flip Meadows. But experts have said he will end up wherever Underwood does and on Sunday, Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider put in a crystal ball projection for the Michigan Wolverines to flip the 6-foot-5, 200-pound wideout from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.

Meadows is ranked 119th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He's ranked 43rd according to the 247 Sports own set of rankings for the 2025 class.
