We don't have to tell you that Kyle Whittingham has been on a complete and total recruiter heater for the Michigan Wolverines. Since the start of May alone, the new Michigan head coach has reeled in 12 new verbal pledges. Could Lincoln Mageo decide it's time to grab a seat at the table in the near future as well?

Surprise Dakota Guerrant Michigan visit sends 5-star warning to Dan Lanning

That's what Michigan is hoping for, as Whittingham has made the standout offensive lineman a top priority. Mageo just wrapped up his official visit to Ann Arbor last weekend, and he has people talking with photos he posted on social media. His head-turning visit has moved things in the right direction. So much in fact, On3's Greg Biggins just dropped his prediction for Whittingham to get this done:

Michigan appears to be in the driver's seat to land 4-star OL Lincoln Mageo

Few people know California recruiting better than Biggins, so when he makes a pick like this, you've got to assume that some good news could be around the corner. With Mageo all set to make his announcement on July 11, there's still a little more of a wait to find out if Michigan is going to get this done or not.

There's also the fear that this could potentially open the door for other schools to get involved, which would obviously be a problem for Whittingham and his staff. Throughout his recruitment, the 6-4, 280-pounder has picked up 21 total offers. In addition to Michigan, he's also got strong interest in Utah, Arizona and Washington.

Per his 247Sports profile, Mageo is all set to take a visit on June 19 to Montlake to meet with Jedd Fisch and the Huskies. Depending on how that visit goes, it could change things in a big way for the youngster, which is something Michigan is hoping to avoid.

Should Mageo end up picking the Wolverines, it would be a monster addition for the already loaded '27 haul. Per the 247Sports Composite, Mageo is ranked four stars, the No. 19 interior offensive lineman in the country, No. 32 prospect from California, and No. 369 playmaker nationally for the '27 group.

Whittingham and the Wolverines are looking to add to a strong offensive line class thus far, too, as offensive tackles Jakari Lipsey and Sidney Rouleau are on board, while interior lineman Louis Esposito is also Michigan-bound for his college career. In total, there are 16 commits, but that number should be growing soon with more official visitors making their way to town in the near future.

For now, though, there's a ton of focus on Mageo, as Whittingham has made him feel like a top priority for a little while now. He's a beast in the trenches, and the hope for a lot of people is that he'll be taking his game to the Big Ten at the next level. Come July 11, we'll find out if that ends up being the case or not, but Michigan is no question in a great spot to pull this off.
