In the recruitment of four-star offensive lineman Lincoln Mageo, it feels like Michigan football continues to put its best foot forward.

One week after Utah impressed the blue-chip recruit out of California, who is 6-foot-3.5, 285 pounds, the Wolverines impressed him on their official visit. He's listed as an interior offensive lineman. It feels like there is a chance he could play all three interior spots for Michigan.

The Wolverines have been battling Utah and Washington for his commitment. Mageo took an official visit to Utah last weekend. He's got a visit scheduled to Washington next weekend.

A commitment hasn't been announced yet for Michigan O-line target

There was some hope that he would end up committing this weekend, but there wasn't a commitment announcement or a visit change. There also hasn't been a huge trend of recruiting predictions like you will usually see right before a commitment.

There is still time for it to happen. The official visit just ended, and accoriding to what Mageo told Ethan McDowell of The Wolverine, Michigan football feels "like home."

“Got some time to hang out with Houston and Malakai, and that was cool, made me feel at home," Mageo said.

The four-star offensive line recruit was referencing Malakai Lee, who just arrived on campus as a 2026 signee, along with Houston Kaahina-Torres, a Nebraska transfer who some have pegged as the center of the future.

Mageo is out of Oceanside, California. He's got an impressive offer list that includes USC, Texas, and Ohio State among 17 Power-4 offers. Three SEC teams and seven Big Ten Schools have offered

Utah was in the mix when Harding was still on the staff there. That's carried over, thanks to his aggressive approach, which has included some in-home visits. He also has a lot to sell, especially after two of his former pupils were selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

The Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine favors the Wolverines in this recruitment. Michigan has an 85 percent chance to land what could be its 17th commitment in the 2027 class.

Michigan football is ranked 14th, according to the 247 Sports team rankings. The Wolverines have 12 blue-chip commitments, including two along the offensive line. A commitment isn't in the bag yet, though. Things can change quickly in recruiting.

It will be interesting if a commitment comes before his visit to Washington. If not, the Wolverines could have to sweat it out until July when a commitment announcement is expected.
