Michigan football has landed a blue-chip quarterback in three consecutive recruiting classes, and the Wolverines are trying to make it four in the 2027 class.

After landing Jadyn Davis, a four-star quarterback, followed by signing Bryce Underwood, a five-star QB, as well as getting a commitment from top-100 quarterback Brady Smigiel in 2026, the Wolverines' QB room is loaded moving forward.

But you can never have enough talent. The focus for Michigan football is now on the 2027 class, especially after they missed on one of their top targets at the position, Trae Taylor who committed to Nebraska despite taking 14 visits to Michigan.

Regardless, the Wolverines are becoming a team to watch with another dynamic quarterback in the 2027 class and that's four-star signal-caller Kavian Bryant.

Another QB to know for Michigan football

Bryant is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, and out of Palestine, Texas. On3 has him rated as the No. 1 quarterback in their rankings for the 2027 class. Bryant is ranked sixth, according to the On3 Industry rankings, as well as 46th overall.

On Thursday, Michigan football offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, who was essential in the commitment of Smigiel recently, paid a visit to Bryant. Lindsey has been a weapon for Michigan football on the recruiting trail and U-M is trending with Bryant now too.

Bryant has an impressive offer sheet that includes Texas A&M, Florida, Baylor, Tennessee, Arkansas, TCU, Texas Tech, Arizona, Oklahoma State, and more. The four-star passer visited Florida State back in February. He also took a visit to Michigan this spring.

It seems as though Bryant has become the top target for the Michigan Wolverines in the 2027 class and we'll see if the talented quarterback makes another trip to Ann Arbor soon.

That will be a sign that this recruitment is moving forward and maybe even toward a commitment.
