Sherrone Moore may have gotten out over his skis a little bit. Despite signing 25 of the Wolverines' 28 commits from the class of 2026 on National Signing Day, Michigan has now lost two of its top commits to other Power Conference Programs.

Four-star EDGE Julian Walker officially announced he was flipping his commitment from the Michigan Wolverines to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday, just one day after NSD.

Walker wasn't the only player to change his mind about playing for Moore and the Wolverines, as four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson did so just a few minutes before him.

While Robinson flipped his commitment to the Stanford Cardinal and Walker decided to head to the SEC, the losses were massive hits to Michigan's recruiting class, which had ranked 11th in the nation but fell one spot when they decommitted.

Now, the Wolverines trail the LSU Tigers in the national recruiting rankings, and luckily, just a few hours before Robinson and Walker flipped, the country's No. 1 running back in the class, Savion Hiter, had signed with the team.

Don't worry, not all is lost. Michigan still claims a top-15 recruiting class, featuring Hiter, five-star EDGE Carter Meadows, and two dozen other blue-chip prospects. The group ranks fourth in the Big Ten, only trailing the USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

However, the losses of Walker and Robinson were undeniable hits to the recruiting cycle, and a sign that Moore might not be as confident on the recruiting trail as everybody thought, especially after he suffered the loss to Ohio State just a few days ago.
