Michigan football projected to land another transfer portal wide receiver

Michigan football could be landing another commitment from the transfer portal soon as a wide receiver has been projected to the Wolverines.

Michigan football is getting ready to play its bowl game against Alabama but the Wolverines are also looking ahead to the 2025 season and trying to re-tool through the transfer portal.

Michigan has been busy already, adding a wide receiver, a quarterback, running back, offensive tackle, a couple of players in the secondary, and a defensive tackle. There are even two former five-stars in the mix from Alabama as Justice Haynes (RB) and Damon Paybe (DT) are part of the incoming transfer class.

There is still plenty of work to do though and the second wave of transfer portal additions is coming. Michigan football is already in a strong position for one commitment though. UConn wide reciever Skyler Bell visited the Wolverines before the dead period.

Bell played in his bowl game over the weekend, catching three passes for 77 yards in the Huskies' 27-14 win over North Carolina. That only made me want Bell to be added to the Michigan football roster even more.

The 6-foot, 183-pounder caught 50 passes for the Huskies this season for 860 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged over 17 yards per reception but also had 68 receptions and six touchdowns in two seasons playing for Wisconsin.

Michigan football projected to land transfer WR

Bell has one year of eligibility left and would be an ideal addition. According to EJ Holland of The Wolverine, Michigan football is now the favorite. Holland projected Bell to the Wolverines on Monday with an On3 RPM prediction.

The dead period ends January 1st, which means players can take visits again. It will be interesting to see if Bell takes any other visits. If not, my guess is that he'll be a Michigan Wolverine.
