It's always fun being on commitment watch. It's even more fun when there are two commitments coming, which is what Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore hinted at Monday.

First, Moore posted on X, "Yes sir," with the eyeball emojis and "#GoBlue." It's what Moore customarily posts before a commitment.

That got Michigan football fans buzzing on Sunday night. Defensive line coach Lou Esposito also posted on X, hinting at good news, making it feel like a defensive lineman had committed.

Lo and behold, on Monday morning, four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis was projected to Michigan by Steve Wiltfong of On3.com. Davis is 6-foot-4, 270 pounds and ranked No. 101 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Michigan has been battling Alabama head-to-head for that commitment. However, on Monday afternoon, Moore posted the same thing he did on Sunday, indicating that the Wolveriners have landed another commitment in the 2026 recruiting class.

Michigan football projected to flip ACC commitment

It feels like the second commitment teased by Moore relates to SMU commitment Markel Dabney. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker was supposed to announce his decision on Saturday, but delayed the decision.

It still didn't come on Sunday. It wasn't a good sign for SMU that Dabney, a dynamic athlete who is ranked No. 788 overall in the 2026 class, said he had to make an announcement when he was already committed.

Still, the lack of an announcement made you wonder if it was going to happen. Moore's post, which coincides with a crystal ball projection from Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, for Dabney to commit to the Wolverines is a good indication of what's coming.

My guess is that Moore was referring to Davis and Dabney. Yet, the Wolverines are trending positively with some many top targets, it's hard to tell.

What we do know is that good news is coming. It's just a matter of time.
