Victors Weekend is in the rearview for Michigan football as more than 20 official visitors were on campus over the weekend.
There were some elite prospects, especially along the defensive line. One of those is four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman is ranked No. 101 in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings out of St. Louis, Missouri. Davis could be a defensive end or a defensive tackle for the Wolverines and was credited with nine sacks and 18 tackles for loss in the 2024 season.
Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore teased out a commitment on Sunday. Lou Esposito, the defensive line coach, also posted on social media, hinting at a commitment, maybe more than one.
A huge commitment could be coming for Michigan football
The first domino to fall appears to be Davis. Steve Wiltfong of On3.com has projected Davis to wind up with the Michigan football program, which would be a huge head-to-head win over Alabama.
Michigan fans have plenty of reasons to be encouraged about 6-foot-6 EDGE Carter Meadows, who is ranked as a five-star by On3.com, but landing Davis would be important, too. The defensive lineman eliminated all other teams in his recruitment, outside of Michigan and Alabama.
The four-star defensive lineman visited Alabama last weekend. The Crimson Tide appeared to make a move but the Wolverines got the final official visit. That's not always a big deal, but with NIL negotiations and the like, it can be important.
Esposito has been on fire lately. He got two blue-chip commitments earlier this month and it feels like another is on the way from Titan Davis.
Michigan now has an 85 percent chance to land Davis, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
