The recruitment of defensive lineman Deuce Geralds is one of the most contested in the 2026 recruiting class. He's got over 50 offers. The 6-foot-2, 262-pounder out of Georgia also has five official visits scheduled, and one of them is to Michigan.
Michigan football got Geralds on campus for a visit during the spring. It was essential for the Wolverines to get him back on campus for an official visit, at least if they wanted to have a legitimate chance at landing his commitment, and that's now happening with an official visit scheduled for June 18-19, according to Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider.
As a high school freshman, Geralds had 66 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. That was back in 2022.
"I like the way Michigan didn't really talk, they just showed themselves," Geralds told the Michigan Insider back in April. "They are about the results here. They show the results here, like they don't just talk about them. They show them. That's something I really like about Michigan (and their approach). The proof is in the pudding with them. They've shown and proven everything that they sell on their program."
Geralds also told The Michigan Insider that his whole family will be coming back for the official visit. The talented defensive lineman from Georgia is ranked 73rd overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
The visit to Michigan is one of five on the schedule. He also visited LSU, and will take trips to Oregon, Ole Miss, and Ohio State.
This mid-week visit to Michigan shows a strong interest though. We'll see is that leads to a commitment.
