Official visit season is here for Michigan football, which hosted several top targets over the weekend.

One of those was four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound wideout out of Mansfield, Texas, took the first of four scheduled official visits this past weekend in Ann Arbor, according to his 247 Sports profile.

Robinson is ranked No. 135 overall in the 2026 class, according to 247 Sports composite rankings, and he's exactly the kind of wide receiver the Wolverines have been missing. Robinson can high jump 6-8. He also runs the 100-meter dash in sub-11 seconds.

Robinson had over 400 yards receiving in 2023 as a sophomore. His 2024 season wasn't listed on 247 Sports but the kid is a dynamic athlete with tremendous upside.

Michigan football target sets commitment date

The four-star set a commitment date for the end of July with a post on social media shortly after his Michigan football visit concluded.

That could be interpreted as a positive for the Wolverines, but Robinson also made it known that he wasn't committed anywhere.

Stanford, TCU, and Miami are all in line to get official visits before he announces a commitment. That seems like a favorable recruitment for the Wolverines, however, Miami is always a threat. The Hurricanes aren't a program to take lightly.

Neither is TCU, at least in the recruitment of Robinson. His father is the director of track and field for TCU. He was also a two-time Olympic qualifier.

Texas A&M is the leader, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but the Aggies aren't hosting him for an official visit. Michigan football (24 percent) and Miami (20 percent) have the next-best chances to land his commitment.
