Coming into Early National Signing Day, there wasn't expected to be much drama for Michigan football.
Oh how wrong that prediction turned out to be.
We are watching one school closely as the Zion Robinson recruitment suddenly heats up. Gathering more as others seem to be involved as well. Details here below. https://t.co/AtICCLg7Ms

First, four-star wideout, Zion Robinson, a top-200 commitment in the 247 Sports composite rankings in the 2026 class, announced on social media that he would be delaying his signing. That's never a good thing. EJ Holland of The Wolverine hinted that others are involved for the elite athlete and four-star wide receiver.
Another four-star hasn't signed with Michigan football
Hopefully, Michigan can seal the deal and get him to sign. However, that's not the only blue-chip recruit the Wolverines have to worry about. Julian Walker, the four-star EDGE ranked No. 96 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, will delay his signing, too.
South Carolina, where his dad is an assistant strength coach, has been trying to flip Walker for months. He visited the Gamecocks numerous times this fall. Nebraska and some other programs showed interest, too.
Yet, Walker visited for the Ohio State game this past weekend. It was expected that he would sign after that visit. Instead, he has delayed for at least a day, according to Hayes Fawcett.
It doesn't mean that Walker or Robinson won't be part of the class, but it's hard to see the Wolverines hang onto both. That's the best-case scenario, but Walker has been communicating with other programs for months and is from South Carolina, too. You can understand the pull there.
Robinson might be worried about the pass offense, although it will surely improve in the second season with Bryce Underwood at quarterback. And just look at Andrew Marsh this season. Freshman can produce with this quarterback, along with talented wideouts.
