Michigan will have to wait on Zion Robinson's signature. The four-star wide receiver announced that he is going to delay his signing until further notice.
Robinson, a blue-chip prospect from Mansfield, Texas, is being pursued by several in-state schools at the 11th hour. The biggest threat might be TCU, where Robinson's father ran track, but Texas and Texas Tech are also in the picture.

Robinson has been committed to the Wolverines since June, and he's one of the highest-rated offensive playmakers in the class. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound pass catcher is as close to a must-get for Michigan will have in this class. Moore is looking to get more playmakers on offense for young quarterback Bryce Underwood and Robinson would provide a major target on the outside.
The early signing period in recruiting lasts until Friday, so the wait could be a couple of hours or a couple of days. Michigan's recruiting class is currently ranked 11th according to 247Sports, but that is assuming Robinson will eventually sign
There could be another WR on the board
One blue-chip wide receiver that Michigan has been targeting to flip for a while is Calvin Russell. The four-star wide receiver from Miami has been committed to Syracuse for months, but he's always been a threat to flip somewhere. Programs like Miami and Florida State have always been in the picture, but the Wolverines might be the school that has the best shot as we reach decision time.
As it currently stands, Russell has not signed with Syracuse, setting up the potential for a dramatic turn.

Calvin Russell
Amare Gough
Walt Frazier
Kordae Houston
Tyrell Grant
Jimmy Gregg
In a perfect world, the Wolverines would be in a position to sign both Robinson and Russell, who, along with four-star prospect Travis Johnson, would give Michigan one of the best wide receiver classes in the nation.
There is no greater position need for Michigan than wide receivers. The lack of playmakers at the position has been obvious all season and reared its ugly head again this past Saturday when the Wolverines threw for just 63 yards in the tough loss to Ohio.
