On Monday, Michigan football landed its 13th commitment in the 2026 recruiting class, as four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis pledged to the Wolverines.

Michigan won a head-to-head recruitment over Alabama to land Davis, who is ranked No. 101 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Another commitment should be coming soon, after it was hinted at by Sherrone Moore on social media Monday. However, there is other positive news, too, as Michigan has been projected to land elite cornerback Dorian Barney in the 2026 class.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback from Carrollton, Georgia, is ranked No. 148 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. His recruitment has been hotly contested among teams such as Penn State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Michigan.

Barney has also been offered by Georgia, Florida, Miami, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, South Carolina, Tennessee, and others. Barney was one of the official visitors on campus for Victors Weekend. Coming out of that, the Wolverines are trending as the favorite.

Four-star cornerback projected to Wolverines

Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider has logged a crystal ball projection for Barney to land with Michigan football in the 2026 class. Webb put a confidence level of six on the crystal ball that he put in on Monday for Barney to land at U-M.

Barney, who has 50 offers total, visited Penn State, A&M, Georgia Tech, and Ole Miss over the past month. Yet, if Webb is correct in his prediction, Michigan will win out for a dynamic playmaker who had six interceptions as a high school freshman.

Not only will Barney, who is announcing a decision on July 5th, be a great fit for the cornerback room, but he would also represent another major recruiting victory for the Wolverines.
