Four-star cornerback Brody Jennings had been committed to Michigan football since last July. At least he was on until Saturday, when the Jacksonville, Florida, defensive back finally flipped to the Miami Hurricanes.

It's been coming for a while, and it's not exactly a surprise. Jennings is a solid prospect. Michigan football has been wanting to keep him in the fold, and even hosted him for an official visit in June.
However, Jennings refused to shut down his recruitment, which was a sign of where things were headed. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback is ranked No. 277 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Jennings is a talented man-to-man corner. He would have been an ideal fit for the Wolverines, but Miami has done a nice job. The Hurricanes hosted him for an official visit in June. Jennings hinted at the time that it would be hard to beat the Hurricanes and he finally made the flip official.
Sting factor of Brody Jennings flip for Michigan
You never want to lose a four-star commitment. However, this one is much easier to stomach for the Wolverines and their fans because of some of the other things happening on the recruiting trail.
Michigan landed four-star defensive back Andre Clarke, from Richmond, Virginia, and is ranked No. 177 overall. Four-star cornerback Dorian Barney is expected to commit Saturday afternoon. He's ranked No. 148 overall.
Davon Benajmain is another target that Michigan is trending up with, so even though losing Jennings hurts, it wasn't unexpected. The Wolverines clearly have a plan.
