Michigan football might be on commitment watch once again, and if not, the Wolverines should be soon after knocking it out of the park on the official visit of four-star Ifeanyi Emedobi.
There were already some expert projections favoring Michigan, giving the Wolverines a commanding advantage, according to the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine (95 percent). The 247 Sports crystal ball also favors Michigan in this recruitment, even before this weekend's official visit.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound EDGE isn't the traditional size for an EDGE prospect, but the Wolverines seem convinced of his ability, and are working very hard to close out a commitment, as the entire coaching staff took the time to take a photo with Emebdobi during his official visit.
4-star EDGE commitment feels like only a matter of time for Michigan football
Michigan has used this tactic before. The entire defensive staff visited Charles Woodson Jr. earlier this spring for an in-home visit, which played a key role in landing the commitment of the Wolverine legacy.
The staff likes to put on the full-court press, and it feels like that's what happened this weekend, with the EDGE from Fort Wayne, Indiana, who canceled his visit to Indiana this weekend to be in Ann Arbor.
Ranked No. 402 overall in the 2027 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Emedobi's recruitment has been picking up momentum since early May. Indiana, the defending national champions, offered, followed by Michigan football soon after.
Kansas State, Maryland, and Virginia Tech also offered around that same time. The Minnesota Golden Gophers got him on campus for an official visit, just like Penn State, but Michigan is trending as the favorite, which would give Kyle Whittingham's first recruiting class with the Wolverines a 13th blue chip.
The fast-rising EDGE was credited with 50 tackles last season and five sacks last season. He will have to grow into his body a little more, but it feels like his best football is ahead of him. That's the kind of recruit that you want to sign, especially at a position of need.
EDGE is fairly well stocked on the roster, but you can never have enough talented pass rushers. Michigan does have four-star EDGE Jayce Brewer, who is 6-foot-5, 240, also out of Indiana, committed, along with top-100 defensive lineman Xavier Muhammad.
There isn't a clear timetable for Emedobi to announce his commitment. Yet, with the strong vibes from his visit, it feels like it's only a matter of time.
