Fall camp info for Michigan football
Michigan football will be starting fall camp soon and we have all the information thanks to some new reporting this week.
We are now 41 days away from the start of the 2023 Michigan football season. The Wolverines will open their quest for a third consecutive Big Ten championship against East Carolina at 12 PM EST on Sept. 2.
It was also reported recently that the East Carolina game is going to be the Maize Out game for the 2023 season. That should amp up the excitement.
However, some other information came out this week that should have Michigan football fans excited and that’s the announcement of the fall camp schedule.
Well, I guess it wasn’t announced but the school did confirm with MLive that fall camp for Michigan football will start August 2nd. Here’s what Aaron McMann reported earlier this week on the topic:
"“Michigan players are expected to report for the start of camp on Aug. 1, with the team’s first practice set for Aug. 2, team spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed to MLive on Wednesday.”"
Michigan football fall camp will start approximately one month before the Pirates will come to Ann Arbor. The Wolverines will also play Bowling Green, UNLV, and Rutgers in the month of September before ending the month with a road game against Nebraska on Sept. 30.
The Wolverines will play five games in September, three in October, and four in November. Hopefully, there will be a game or two in December (Big Ten title game and College Football Playoff), as well as a game in early January for the national title.
Mark Ingram, a newly-hired analyst for Fox College Football said he sees the Wolverines as the favorite going into the 2023 season and he’s not the only one.
Soon, the hype will be put to rest as Michigan football gets set to finally take the field.
