Michigan vs Hawaii

By the second game, Michigan football will have faced two new head coaches as another team from the Mountain West comes to Ann Arbor with a new head coach. Timmy Chang will lead Hawaii football in the 2022 season and will open in Week 0 against Vanderbilt. Michigan destroyed Hawaii the last time it came to Ann Arbor and this shouldn’t be any different.

I’d expect the Wolverines to total well over 300 yards rushing and this is one of those games where 4-5 different people hit paydirt on the ground.

Final score: Michigan 55, Hawaii 13

Michigan vs UConn

The non-conference schedule should be a cakewalk for the Wolverines. Of course, you can’t take any opponent lightly but the Huskies are rebuilding in a big way under Jim Mora Jr., who is a first-year head coach and this program has a long, long way to go.

The talent level just isn’t the same and probably isn’t even on par with Hawaii. However, good coaching can make all the difference in the world, so the Huskies will be more fundamentally sound and they will play solid football.

But Michigan football is going to bully teams in the Big Ten this season and the Wolverines will do the same to the Huskies as they win going away.

Final score: Michigan 48, UConn 20
