Michigan vs Maryland

For years, there has been talk that Maryland is going to be on the rise. The Terps even have one of the most talented passers in the Big Ten in Taulia Tagovailoa. However, Michigan football has absolutely dominated the Terps in the Harbaugh era.

Harbaugh is 6-0 against Maryland. The closest game between the two programs since 2015 was a 42-21 win for the Wolverines. Michigan owned the line of scrimmage last year and Donovan Edwards went off.

The tandem of Corum and Edwards will both hit 100 yards in this one as Michigan pulverizes Maryland once again.

Final score: Michigan 48, Maryland 20

Michigan at Iowa

This is one of the games that worries me the most heading into 2022 for Michigan football. The Hawkeyes are always hard to beat at home and if this winds up being a night name, it’s only going to make things more challenging for the Wolverines.

Fans will remember the 42-3 win over Iowa in the Big Ten championship game last December and Iowa certainly hasn’t forgotten either. Kirk Ferentz’s team had the 13th-ranked offense in the Big Ten last season. The offensive line has question marks but Sam LaPorta is back after catching 53 passes last season. Spencer Petras is back too but Alex Padilla is pushing for the job.

Both quarterbacks struggled against Michigan and while I don’t see this one being easy, the talent of Michigan’s skill guys — QB, RB, WR — will allow the Wolverines to escape with a win.

Thankfully, this game isn’t in November when Iowa is much harder to beat at home.

Final Score: Michigan 23, Iowa 20
