First impressions on Michigan Football’s 2022 schedule
A brutal October
In 2021, Michigan football’s season really turned with the win at Penn State. There was a belief in Michigan before that win, but after, it was like this team had a different identity. It knew how to weather to storm and still find a way to win.
That proved valuable against Ohio State a couple of weeks later when the Wolverines trailed 10-7 and could have folded or lost confidence. They didn’t and it all dates back to the win in Happy Valley.
As far as 2022, the key stretch, outside of “The Game” will come in October.
After a fairly easy opening, things get real for Michigan starting on Oct. 1 when Harbaugh and his team will travel to Kinnick Stadium, which has been a house of horrors for the Wolverines.
That will be the first of back-to-back road games against Iowa and Indiana. Then, it will be a home game against Penn State on Oct. 15, before a bye week, and MSU on Oct. 29.
The last two games are at home which helps and just like 2021, the game against Michigan State will go a long way towards defining the success of the season.
