Michigan Football: 5 newcomers who’ll have instant impacts in 2021
A big-time tight end
Louis Hansen is one of Michigan football’s most underrated recruits from the 2021 class. Well, he’s underrated in some circles.
According to 247 sports, he was ranked as the No. 28 tight end and he was 11th among tight ends in the 2021 composite rankings. However, he was a top-100 recruit in the Rivals rankings and was fifth among tight ends.
Hansen is 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and in my opinion, the rating from Rivals is a much more accurate reflection of his ability. And according to Chris Balas of The Wolverine (subscription required), Hansen is someone who has stood out since enrolling early and has huge impact potential.
Erick All is going to be in front of him on the depth chart and he’s a talented player in his own right, but he’s got to get over the drops.
Yet, Hansen and the next guy on the list are going to have great Michigan football careers and we’ll see some production from Hansen this fall.
