Junior Colson

Last but not least is Junior Colson, a top-100 defender who is going to be a star for the Wolverines. He was ranked 89th in the 247 sports composite rankings and honestly, I see his career path going down the same road as Devin Bush Jr.

Bush Jr. played some his first season and then burst onto the scene as a sophomore before eventually leaving early for the NFL draft.

Josh Ross and Michael Barrett are penciled in as the starters right now and Nikhai Hill-Green is also going to be in the mix. But Colson is just different. He has played receiver in the past and last season, he even returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

He’s got a blend of size, speed, and athleticism that’s unique. He can blitz, cover, run sideline-to-sideline and there’s no way he won’t see the field this year.

He’s probably the most exciting prospect Michigan has signed on defense since Daxton Hill, who also had a solid debut season for the Wolverines.
