Is Cade McNamara the solution at quarterback?

The junior is back to put his stamp on the Wolverine offense as the main man in charge. He performed very admirably when he wasn’t injured in 2020. He didn’t throw any interceptions in his brief stint after taking over the nod for Joe Milton either. McNamara showed his moxie that gave Michigan a chance even when things looked bleak.

Everyone is aware of J.J. McCarthy who has arrived on campus this spring. The freshman seems destined to see the field in 2021 no matter what.

In the meantime, though reports have surfaced that he is going to be the real deal in time, but is currently going through the growing pains of learning a new playbook in his new surroundings.

The x-factor in all of this has got to be the transfer of Alan Bowman. The former Red Raider will bring a much-needed veteran presence to the quarterback room.

He didn’t light the world on fire in Lubbock but can help ease the transition from McNamara to McCarthy whenever that moment occurs.
