Will Jim Harbaugh salvage his sinking job status this fall?

The hot seat is warming up for Jim Harbaugh heading into 2021. The fanbase is getting restless with his letdowns against Michigan State and losing every year to Ohio State. He survived a 2-4 campaign to get an awkward extension that couldn’t come at a worse time in the annals of Michigan football history.

Don Brown took the fall for Harbaugh’s misfortunes in 2020 by getting relieved of his duties. Harbaugh then turned the NFL to fix the problems with the hiring of some fresh and familiar faces. The defensive staff has totally been revamped besides Shaun Nua, while the offensive side was shuffled up with the highlight being the homecoming of Mike Hart.

The schedule is certainly not giving Harbaugh any easy gimmes by any stretch of the means. Washington will be a stern test to see where his team stands early on in week two. Jump ahead a few weeks and the Big Ten will provide road trips to Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn State.

Northwestern and Indiana at home will definitely be no slouches, while November 27 is a foregone conclusion until something changes.
