4-star OL Lucas Heyer

Offensive line recruiting will be interesting to watch this cycle under Sherrone Moore who took over the job as offensive line coach from Ed Warinner.

Connor Jones, a big offensive tackle from Colorado, committed to the Wolverines and hasn’t wavered at all. Another name that Michigan football has been pushing with for months now is four-star tackle Lucas Heyer, a four-star recruit out of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Heyer is 6-foot-5, 307 pounds and is ranked as the No. 313 player overall in 2022, as well as the 39th-best offensive tackle.

Like most recruits, he hasn’t been able to visit because no official visits are allowed. However, he could take a self-guided visit as Pollard is doing and if that happens, I would think that a Heyer to Michigan commitment would be imminent as I believe it will be with Pollard, once he gets on campus, even for his own tour.

Michigan football has already been trending in the right direction with Heyer in terms of predictions from recruiting experts and it just seems like a matter of time before a pledge.

And at this point, it’s possible he’s the next recruit to commit in 2022.
