4-star DB Dillon Tatum

When it comes to the West Bloomfield product, Dillon Tatum, the Wolverines have felt like the team to beat for a while. Michigan State has been making a hard push with Tatum and even made some headway during Michigan’s period of uncertainty.

However, that appears to have come and gone. Now, with Ron Bellamy, his former high school head coach, taking over the position he would play at Michigan, there’s no doubt he has a closer connection to U-M than anywhere else.

Notre Dame has been in the mix too and made his recent top list, but the Wolverines still seem to have a big edge with Tatum, one that has only grown in recent weeks.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has played running back, cornerback and safety in high school but it looks like he’s being recruited as a nickel back/safety type. He is ranked No. 269 in the class of 22.
