Maybe Jazz made a promise after all

The Utah Jazz took former Michigan basketball star Trey Burke a few years back and Thursday, it’s entirely possible they take another in Wilson.

There have been rumors of a promise made by the Jazz to Wilson since last month, but we won’t know for sure until the Jazz are on the clock with the 24th pick.

It’s a spot that makes sense for Wilson. He was always thought to be a late first rounder and going 24th certainly qualifies. Utah also has some uncertainty at the power forward position and when you are drafting late first round, might as well take a flyer on potential, which Wilson has in abundance.

There hasn’t been much chatter around Wilson recently, which could mean a promise was made and accepted. If it was, you can see why. The Jazz could use a stretch four and D.J. might be one of the best out there.
