Michigan football fans have been tracking the social media activity of head coach Sherrone Moore closely, with all of the commitment hints he's been dropping, but another came out on Thursday night.
Moore had one eyeball emoji outstanding, waiting for a public commitment to correlate to it. Now, there should be two outstanding commitments for the Wolverines after Moore posted the eyeball emoji again, with "Yes Sir!"

So what does this mean?
There are three commitments that will be announced over the next two days that are Michigan football related, including one Fourth of July decision.
Recruiting fireworks for Michigan football?
Four-star wideout Travis Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 180-pounder out of Chesapeake, Virginia, is expected to announce his commitment on Friday. The Wolverines have been trending as the favorite, according to all the recruiting sites. Michigan is the crystal ball leader and also leads heavily, according to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Johnson is ranked No. 144 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He would be the second top-150 wide receiver in this class for the Wolverines, but hopefully not the last.
There are two decisions looming on July 5th. One is Calvin Russell, a five-star, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder will decide on Saturday night between Michigan football, Syracuse, Florida State, and Oregon.
Truth be told, this is between Michigan and Syracuse, with some experts split on predictions. At this point, it doesn't feel like a decision has been made. I also don't think Moore's post on Thursday night was about Russell.
My best guess is that it was hinting at the commitment of four-star cornerback Dorian Barney, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back out of Georgia. Barney is also set to make a decision on July 5th. Penn State is the top contender, but Michigan is the favorite for the No. 148 overall recruit in the 2026 class.
Lamar Morgan posted below Moore's post, making me believe that Morgan has reeled in another commitment in the secondary. Barney would be a huge get, too, especially with Miami closing in on four-star Michigan commitment Brody Jennings.
The Hurricanes have been pushing for a flip. This would help mitigate that loss, if it happens. So keep an eye out on Friday for Johnson's commitment in the afternoon.
Also keep an eye on Moore. If he posts another eyeball emoji, that has to be for Russell. If he doesn't, there will be plenty of hand-wringing going into Saturday night's decision.
