With spring football having come and gone and the spring transfer portal officially closed, all offseason attention goes towards game-planning for next season and recruiting for every season after that. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has certainly been busy trying to build a Michigan roster for the future, and one potential recruit is making his decision on the Maize and Blue next week.

Now is the time a lot of Class of 2026 recruits are making their commitments, as it still allows them time to shop around before officially signing with teams later in the year. While not every player always commits and then looks for better offers, some do. Cornerback Jordan Thomas is making sure he is looking down every avenue, but seems set to make his decision on Monday, May 12.

Thomas is a four-star recruit out of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, rated as the No. 125 player in his class, the No. 16 cornerback in his class, and the No. 2 player in New Jersey according to 247Sports.

Thomas has received a lot of offers, even from a top 50 school, and has said that he isn't whittling them down because every school has a chance and is on the table to be chosen. Michigan is one of the top-tier schools, and Thomas has had some official visits with big programs like Michigan, Texas A&M, USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and others.

After his official visit to Ann Arbor, Thomas said that the program really impressed him, and it was one of his top offers he was considering. Right now, Michigan has only five hard commits in the Class of 2026, only one of them being a cornerback, who is three-star Brody Jennings out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Michigan only has one four-star recruit so far in the Class of 2026, with Brady Smigiel out of California, so if Thomas were to commit to the Wolverines, that would make only the second four-star recruit in the class. Thomas would be a great addition to Michigan's defense, who could leave after losing some key players in the secondary after this next season.
