Michigan football picked up another commitment on Saturday as four-star EDGE Julius Holly of the 2025 class committed to the Wolverines.

Michigan football beat out a slew of SEC schools for his commitment as Georgia, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M were among the final contenders.

Overall, that's 13 commitments for Michigan football in the 2025 class and 10 of them are ranked as blue-chip prospects (4 or 5-star recruits) according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

That gives Michigan a blue-chip ratio of 76 percent so far in the 2025 class. Michigan was at 65 percent in the 2024 class, which means the Wolverines are putting together back-to-back classes that are very solid. Both groups also feature a quarterback who ranks in the top 150 overall.

As it happens though, Michigan has three 2025 targets who are supposed to announce their commitments in the coming days starting with four-star offensive lineman Hardy Watts and also four-star tight end Andrew Olesh on Monday.

Elite tight end has been trending to Michigan football

Olesh was wavering a little bit on the day but he said he wanted to commit by Monday. Michigan football is the current leader for the No. 5 tight end in the 2025 class who also ranks 130th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Olesh has been trending with expert picks for Michigan since the weekend of his official visit. Alabama is pushing hard though and the Tide are the biggest threat. If the decision date gets moved back, that wouldn't be a good sign for the Wolverines.

Yet, with Hardy Watts, who is deciding Monday, there has been a trend of Wisconsin expert projections, so it feels like the Badgers have taken control there. That's surprising to me. Hardy is 6-foot-6, 300 pounds out of Brookline, Massachusetts.

It felt like a done deal for the Wolverines. I was very confident after last weekend but the Badgers have turned things around. It doesn't mean Michigan can't turn it around again, at the end, but it seems like Watts will be a Wisconsin Badger.

The other potential commitment is on Tuesday. Four-star EDGE Marco Jones is announcing and Michigan football is among the finalists with USC, Texas, and Texas A&M. The Aggies just picked up a crystal ball for the No. 157 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
