We are a little late with our Michigan Wolverines news roundup this Thursday, but there is some news regarding the Michigan football team and it's not the best as the Wolverines were unsuccessful in their bid to steal away Chad Bowden from Marcus Freeman and the Irish.
Bowden is the director of recruiting for Notre Dame and has been a key part of their operation. New Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore was trying to poach him but it was confirmed by Tom Loy of 247 Sports that Bowden will stay with the Irish.
Surely, Moore has other options and he needs to follow through on his idea of expanding the recruiting operation. It hasn't been big enough for the Michigan Wolverines in recent years so keep an eye out, but this is a big win for Marcus Freeman and the irish.
Mike Macdonald named Seattle Seahawks head coach
All the folks saying "it was all the signs" had another rough blow on Wednesday as former Michigan football defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald was hired as the head coach of the Seahawks. Ohio State fans aren't going to like it, but they are just going to have to accept that Connor Stalions had nothing to do with the Michigan Wolverines winning three games in a row over the Buckeyes.
Lee Aaliya won't join Michigan Wolverines
Lee Aaliya committed to the Michigan basketball program but the big man from Argentina never signed with the Michigan Wolverines and he announced on Wednesday that he would be unable to enroll at the Univeristy of Michigan. He's going to play in Spain.
This is another player who committed to Michigan basketball under Juwan Howard but could not join the roster. It's a problem when the head coach doesn't understand what kinds of players will be admitted as students and who won't.
