Michigan football is working on flipping a few committed recruits in the 2025 class, but none of them is ranked higher than four-star cornerback Shamari Earls who is ranked No. 103 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Michigan football has been working on Earls following his commitment to South Carolina in April. Earls is 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, and out of Chester, Virginia. The Michigan Wolverines have done well recruiting in the DMV and they are now getting Earls on campus for a visit according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine.

It's worth noting that this is an unofficial visit. However, it's still a key first step for Michigan football to get Earls on campus. One unofficial visit isn't going to be enough to flip his commitment, so this is likely a starting point, at least if the Michigan Wolverines want to become a serious contender to flip the blue-chip cornerback.

It's a good start though.

Four-star EDGE enjoys "great" visit to Michigan Wolverines

One of the recruits who was on campus this past weekend for an official visit is four-star EDGE Julius Holly, who is out of Alpharetta, Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound EDGE who is ranked 300th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Michigan, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss are in the mix. Holly still has visits to Georgia and Ole Miss this week, before visiting the Aggies. Holly had eight sacks and three pass breakups as a junior and would be dangerous in a Michigan football uniform.

There aren't any crystal ball projections yet, so this still feels kind of wide open. Yet, the Michigan Wolverines appear to have made a move and Holly posted on X that his visit was "Great."
