If Michigan football wasn't on commitment watch, it is now. The coaching staff probably already knows about the commitment, but the fanbase is now on commitment watch which was a talking point already going into the weekend.

Four-star Jaylen Williams has been a name to watch. He received some new expert projections this week and predictions across all three major recruiting sites have him winding up as a Wolverine.

That doesn't mean that the coaching staff is talking about Wiliams, the 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman ranked No. 236 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

There were some other visitors this weekend but it does seem like it was a defensive lineman. First though, you had head coach Sherrone Moore posting #smash and #GoBlue on his account which makes you believe a commitment.

Then, you had Michigan football defensive line coach Lou Esposito posting the eyeball emoji.

LaTroy Lewis, a defensive line assistant posted "Christmas in June" which makes you think it's a commitment once again. I'm sure we'll found out soon enough. Williams visited and just released a top four so the blue-chip D-line target makes sense.

But there were other visitors this weekend. Michigan football is also trending up as the leader with Maxwell Roy, another four-star prospect who has been trending with crystal ball projections.

Who knows, maybe both players have committed but Williams makes the most sense. The Wolverines have momentum and just hosted him for an offiicial visit over the weekend, in addition to just making his top four.

We'll see what all the posts are about, but led by Moore, it seems that Michigan football coaches are teasing some positive news on the recruiting trail.
