Michigan football has landed a bunch of commitments in the past few weeks and are trending up in the 2025 recruiting rankings in a major way.

The Wolverines were ranked in the 50s a few weeks ago and just recently, their class was ranked 15th overall according to the 247 Sports team rankings.

Things can change quickly in recruiting though. After getting three commitments in back-to-back weeks, a couple of top targets started trending in the other direction this week. Another top target, four-star EDGE Julius Holly, who is ranked 300th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings, is set to make an announcement on June 29th, which is Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound EDGE out of Alpharetta, Georgia, has a stellar group of final teams and took official visits to Georgia, Stanford, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. He's ranked as the No. 22 EDGE prospect in the 2025 class and the Wolverines could use another talented pass rusher. They have a solid D-line haul, but Holly would an ideal addition for the EDGE position.

And according to some new expert projections, Michigan football is trending as the favorite. He visited Michigan football on June 7th, but EJ Holland of The Wolverine has projected the four-star pass rusher to the Wolverines, along with Steve Wiltfong, a leading national recruiting expert.

Last season, Holly had 57 tackles, eight sacks, and three pass breakups in high school. The idea of playing for Michigan has to be exciting and even with a new coaching staff, there is plenty of NFL experience (Pernell McPhee) at the pass rush position.

The Wolverines currently have a 93-percent chance to win Holly's commitment according to the On3 prediction machine.
