Michigan football has been busy on the recruiting trail over the past two months and has been productive with 12 total commitments since the start of June between the 2025 and 2026 classes.

The Wolverines are still pushing for some elite targets though. Andrew Babalola, a five-star offensive tackle could be deciding soon and Michigan football is a top contender along with Stanford.

Michigan is also hosting two top-100 wideouts this weekend Andrew Marsh and Jerome Myles. The Wolverines would love to land both, but just one would be huge considering Michigan football hasn't landed a top-100 wideout in years.

Marsh and Myles will each visit for the Michigan football recruiting BBQ this weekend. One top target who won't is elite defensive tackle DJ Sanders out of Bellville, Texas.

At 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, Sanders is ranked 88th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Michigan football is among the top contenders, along with Texas and Texas A&M.

It's been a tough recruitment to read. Sanders took official visits to all three schools. Texas has received some crystal ball projections in the past two weeks but Texas A&M is the leader according to the On3 prediction machine which gives the Aggies a 65-percent chance to land Sanders commitment.

Michigan football seems to be running third. However, according to Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider, Sanders is planning to visit for the Michigan-Texas game in the fall. That means a decision isn't coming until the fall which will give the Wolverines a chance to win his commitment.

There is still work to do but if Sanders visits and Michigan football can beat the Horns on the field, it might give the elite defensive tackle something to think about.
