There hasn't been as much buzz in regards to Michigan football recruiting since the start of the season, particularly as it pertains to the 2025 class.

Some 2025 commitments have taken visits elsewhere and two of them are among Michigan football's highest-ranked signees -- Andrew Olesh and Ivan Taylor.

Both recruits visited Alabama recently and the Tide are trying to flip them. Olesh is a top-100 tight end, while Taylor is a cornerback/safety and is the son of former NFL standout Ike Taylor.

Michigan football was able to flip Taylor from Notre Dame and while the Wolverines need to guard against their own flips in the 2025 class, they have been projected to flip a commitment from Big Ten rival Iowa.

Michigan football projected to flip a kicker from Iowa

The recruit in question is three-star kicker Scott Starzyk. I know, it's a kicker but as we have seen over the past three years, when you have a great defense, an elite kicker can be a weapon.

Jake Moody was lethal for the Wolverines and it felt like he was automatic from anywhere inside the 35-yard line. That's a huge thing for an offense, especially one that wants to pound the rock and control the clock.

Starzyk is ranked No. 1,993 overall in the 2025 class according to the On3 industry rankings. However, he's a legit three-star propsect according to Rivals, 247 Sports and On3. So the kid can kick and EJ Holland of The Wolverine just projected him to flip his commitment to Michigan football.

The Wolverines now have a 92-percent chance of flipping Starzyk according to the On3 recruiting prediction machine.
