It wasn't a great weekend for Michigan football fans, at least not for the Wolverines as they saw their 16-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of Texas.

The Longhorns didn't just beat the Wolverines, they blew them out. Texas led 24-3 at the half and the final margin of 31-12 didn't really tell the whole story.

Surely, it made some Michigan football fans long for Jim Harbaugh. Of course, he is one of the best football coaches in the world, if not THE best, so it's understandable.

Harbaugh is back in the NFL. He wants to win a Super Bowl. Harbaugh did coach the 49ers to the Super Bowl and started his career with the Chargers with a 22-10 win over the Raiders. As expected, the running game was key as Harbaugh's squad rushed for 176 yards.

Michigan football drops in AP, Coaches Polls

Following the loss to Texas, the Wolverines took a big fall in both college football polls. The AP poll dropped Michigan football seven spots down to No. 17. Michigan was ranked ninth in the Coaches Poll and now they are 16th there.

None of the updated playoff projections made mention of Michigan football. That's because the schedule includes Oregon and Ohio State, as well as USC at home and Washington on the road.

Just getting to a bowl game might be tough. That's how bad things have looked. Now, the coaching staff has time to figure it out and Texas is an elite team. Were the Horns really good or Michigan bad?

We'll find out soon enough. So far though, there are more questions about Michigan football than answers.
