Saturday in the Big House was a feeling that Michigan football fans haven't felt in a while. The Wolverines were thumped by an SEC powerhouse who has championship intentions. The honeymoon is now over for the Wolverines and reality is setting in that they have a boatload of work to do to regroup.

Here are three of the overreactions from the smackdown.

1. Davis Warren is the worst starting quarterback in Michigan history

Just two weeks into the season and some are already giving up on the walk-on. One loss doesn't define him, but it was like the world was ending because Michigan football lost its first game in 17 tries. Warren still has time to improve which makes this an overreaction for now. We'll see what he does in response to this brutal loss next week.

If you go back in recent history Nick Sheridan comes to mind as the starter who probably would get the most votes as the worst quareterback in Michigan history. He has worked his way up the coaching ranks now and currently resides in Tuscaloosa. He was another walk-on like Warren is. He also had similar numbers to Warren is his first career start.

John O'Korn is another name that some would bring up. After that you have to go back to the 1984 season when the Wolverines had a 6-6 record. Guess who was the quarterback for that team? Before that was the run in the mid sixties where they had losing records. But for now the jury is still out on Warren and he can redeem himself in a few weeks or this moniker will only grow if he keeps losing.
