Michigan football news: Connor Stalions rough head-coaching debut, plus more
It has been amusing to watch Ohio State fans cling to the idea that Michigan football, despite one of the best head coaches in the sport and a roster filled with NFL draft picks, won the national championship and beat the Buckeyes three straight times because of Connor Stalions.
Stalions has been accused of in-person scouting. It's not even a major rule violation and sign-stealing in college football wasn't against the rules.
However, we all know what happened. The NCAA sent U-M a notice of allegations and Stalions resigned from Michigan football midway through the 2023 season. Stalions got a job as the defensive coordinator at Detroit Mumford.
Recently, he was elevated to interim head coach, due to health issues with the head coach, and Stalions directed his first game on Friday night. It didn't go well. The team lost 60-0. But Detroit Mumford didn't win any games this season so people trolling him are kind of clueless.
It's funny that they make fun of him while claiming he was the only reason Michigan football won the national championship. There is also new reporting that the idea of wins being vacated is "ridiculous."
Michigan football vs. Texas injury report
Michigan football is a touchdown underdog today against Texas but the Wolverines will have all hands on deck for the most part.
Jack Tuttle is listed as questionable on the injury report. Jaden Mangham is listed as out. He joins Rod Moore but that isnt a surprise.
Lee Corso Pick's Texas to beat Michigan
Lee Corso believes that Michigan football will suffer its first home loss since 2019, predicting that Texas will prevail in the Big House 17-14. I agree that it is that kind of game, but I think Michigan can win it.
The Wolverines need to run the ball and hold Texas to under 20 points. That's the formula but the quarterbacks need to play better too and I believe they will.
